Nursery Team Member

Schedule

This is a full-time position of up to 40 hours per week. Employees are scheduled five days per week and receive two mandatory days off each week.

Our operating hours are:

  • Monday–Saturday: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

  • Sunday: 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Weekend availability is required.

Position Overview

Leo’s Nursery, Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to assist with daily nursery operations and plant care. This is an outdoor, physically active position requiring reliability, attention to safety, and a positive attitude.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and general plant care.

  • Load and unload plants, supplies, and equipment.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.

  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.

  • Perform physical work involving lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, walking, and standing for extended periods.

  • Safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance.

  • Willing and able to perform physically demanding outdoor work.

  • Weekend availability.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

  • Spanish-language communication skills are preferred because the position regularly works with Spanish-speaking team members.

  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, if driving nursery vehicles is required.

  • Nursery, landscaping, farming, irrigation, or plant-care experience is helpful but not required.
